Special quicklime quality controlled by our own accredited testing laboratory.

The properties of quicklime for special purposes are tested according to the methodology of the international and the VÚSH test standards. This ensures that you receive only the best quality lime for your needs.

It all starts with juicy limestone from a local quarry.

The quality control system

01. Quality control of input limestone

A visual inspection is performed prior to the start of production to ascertain the CaCO₃ concentration of the limestone entering the manufacturing process on an average sample of four spot samples from each delivery. The laboratory houses the average limestone samples.

02. Product quality control in production

The activity, sedimentation test after 20 hours, and content of unquenchable particles in the lime are all determined during production, as well as the free calcium oxide (CaO) content of the burnt lime.

03. Frequency of sampling in production

The activity is checked on spot samples of lime collected every 2 hours (or more frequently if necessary). The sample weighs around 200 g.

The sedimentation test, active CaO determination, and unquenchable particle content are determined on an average sample produced by merging point samples over time when a filling vessel of about 0.5 m³ is filled.

The remaining unprocessed samples are returned to the manufacturing process.
